Welcome to our first episode of "A Day in the Life". In this episode, get to know a little about one of our new teachers, Mr. Garcia!

so this is my first official year teaching right here in Monrovia High School prior to I was at Cerro Villa Middle School where I student taught because a requirement for my program and then I got hired at Rio Hondo Elementary in Downey and I was doing intervention there helping students so I with reading and math yeah man I saw I went to Santa Fe High School that's where I got my high school diploma at from there I went to UC Riverside I was there for 2 years but then life happened so I stopped going to school went to work and I basically I ended up going to as Arizona State University for my bachelor's in history and they got my teaching Rancho at Concordia University in Irvine honestly I don't know now I'm just kidding I just really felt like working at on helicopters doing Aviation stuff and I just felt like it was in fulfilling for me so I started really analyzing what I wanted in life and I just really enjoy watching people grow watching people push past their limits exceed their expectations and I really felt like being a teacher was the best possible way to do that so that was my that's my drive words with Kathy why you chose to fly mr. Garcia what do you like me did I just love the the diversity that it brings I love that it brings people together do you like the music that Daddy place it's really crazy this is mr. Garcia this is my band rehearsal and I'm about to show you guys my setup so now my computer right here it's running all the the media extra sounds text Tara you know I just I enjoy all genres music like obviously I have my favorites like rock hip-hop you know even that one to some Lo-Fi sometimes but I just really like music in general I love The Vibes everything's like you can literally change your entire mood when you're feeling bad or mad or angry and you just put on a good song it just makes you happy so what do you like most about being a dad I missed your dad just being in my kids like you know it just different because I have my son and my daughter with my daughter it's all about the Tea Party you know playing with her favorite princesses Ariel and you know we got into a little argument last time because I wanted to be King Triton she wanted me to be till I saw you know mermaid with you which mermaid am I going to be oh yeah and with my son is just making him laugh man just you know just watching them smile and we have this little game where he'll bonked his head on me and we both I said I mean it kind of hurts but it's funny Spanish Garcia You've also mentioned this before in a little pre-interview stage that for the foodie what are favorite I just left food in general if it tastes good I'm going to eat it but some of my favorites I love ramen I love fun like those two I almost have on a weekly basis at least once a week I really loved steak if you weeks ago I made a tomahawk steak medium rare that's the only way to eat steak tacos tacos carne asada or I passed or as they call it here and I'm about to Tacos you're the very first episode and installment on a day in the life is there anything you'd like to say to the Wildcats out there paying the video Work Hard Play Hard you know what's that one quote from the office he says you miss 100% of the shots you don't take Wayne Gretzky Michael Scott the goat but yeah just just work hard guys push through exceed your own expectations think they taste good the pride of being summer favorite teacher I guess
