2021 – 2022 School Year Meals Distribution Plan

Welcome, happy new school year. We are glad to announce that Governor Gavin Newsom recently signed into law the "Free School Meals For All Act of 2021". Monrovia Unified School District (MUSD) will resume on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, providing Breakfast and Lunch meals free of charge to our child(ren), age 18 years and under through the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) Meal Program. Due to lingering COVID-19 concerns. A Supper meal and Snack are also available through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for our K-12 students who participate in academic enrichment activities outside of normal school hours. Meal service will be unique at each site to ensure maximum safety amid COVID-19. Students can eat their meals at school during each school’s scheduled meal periods and/or parents or their designee may pick up their child (ren’s) meals for a period of one hour prior to the school’s posted lunch meal period. For Example:  Monrovia High School lunch begins at 11:45 on Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri and 11:15 on Wed. A parent may pick up Breakfast, Lunch, Supper and Snack for their child(ren) at 10:45 on M, T, Th, F and at 10:15 on Wed. Parents, community program leaders, or designee may pick up a grab and go style meal daily at any our MUSD school sites listed below for a one hour period from the first day of school through Wednesday, June 8, 2022, except Holidays. Have a great school year everyone!
