Through the Los Angeles Regional Occupational Program (ROP), Monrovia High School students learn entry-level job skills, earn high school credits, receive assistance in job placement, and develop attitudes and knowledge which are important in the work field. Classes are offered at MHS and at various workplace sites including banks, hospitals, hotels, florist shops, travel agencies, department stores, and pre-school centers. Enrollment priority is given to high school juniors, seniors, and students 16 or older. Younger students with career needs may be enrolled with special permission of the ROP counselor. Some classes have specific requirements or prerequisites. Information on classes and registration is available in the College and Career center.
Here is a list of classes that are offered at Monrovia High School and other local high schools for the school year 2014-2015.
